Have you heard about cheese stick? If no,then it is one of the favorite delicacy of Filipinos,also to my American brother -in-law.It is called cheese stick because you cut into a stick form.A very simple,easy recipe, and tasty. When you try to bite one piece, I know for sure you cannot resist to eat another stick.
- 4 cups All purpose flour,sifted
- 1 bar butter (225 grams),soften
- 1 1/4 cups granulated white sugar
- 1 can condense milk
- grated cheese for toppings
Preheat oven to 338 degrees F (170 degrees C) and place rack in center of oven.
Grease a 8 inch baking pan with cooking spray or butter.
In the bowl of your electric mixer, or with a hand mixer, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the condense milk,beat constantly, and add the flour,continue beating until smooth. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Pour into your baking pan,flatten it, and spread the grated cheese over the top.
Bake in preheated oven for about 18 minutes, or until the cheese turn into golden brown. Remove from oven and let it cool until 10 minutes then cut or slices into stick form.
